The Bangladesh Research Society (BDRS) is organizing an International Youth Research Camp in Kathmandu-Pokhara, Nepal, scheduled for May 20-25, 2025. This camp invites students, young scholars, and researchers from Bangladesh and around the world who are eager to enhance their research skills and discover new opportunities.

The primary objective of the International Youth Research Camp is to create a platform where students, young professionals, and scholars can showcase their skills, engage in collaborative research activities, and build a global professional network while fostering an interdisciplinary research community.

Eligibility Criteria
- Open to university and college students, faculty members, young researchers and professionals from Bangladesh and beyond.
- Applicants must possess a valid passport with a minimum of six months’ validity.
- Should be capable of covering their personal travel and related expenses.
- Must demonstrate enthusiasm for research activities, climate and environmental issues, and a passion for building a peaceful global network.
- Should be experienced in teamwork and possess strong team-building skills.
- Must have a deep interest in traveling and exploring new places across borders.
WHERE WILL IT TAKE PLACE?
The International Youth Research Camp-2025 will be held across multiple locations in Nepal. The event offers a wide array of opportunities, including visits to historical sites in Kathmandu and Pokhara, interactive workshops, and engaging panel discussions at the Bangladesh Embassy in Nepal. Participants will also engage in interdisciplinary research activities and cultural immersions throughout these cities. Each activity presents a unique chance for learning, networking, and exploration, making this camp a truly exceptional experience for all involved.

APPLICATION & SELECTION PROCESS
Applications are invited in two categories for the International Research Camp: Paper Presenters and general Participants. Each category has its own application process.
Step 1: Registration
To apply, you need to complete the registration process by paying a non-refundable fee of:
- 500 BDT for Bangladeshi participants.
- 10 USD for participants from other countries.
Step 2: Submission
- For Paper Presenters: Applicants are required to submit an abstract or concept note of their research (Within 300 words).
- For General Participants: Candidates must provide a motivational statement as part of their application (within 500 words).
Based on these submissions, individuals will be shortlisted for interviews.
Step 3: Interview
All shortlisted applicants will be invited to participate in an interview conducted by our esteemed jury board. The final selection will be based on the evaluation of these interviews. Scholarships will be awarded based on research capabilities, publications, and other pertinent experiences.
Selected applicants who do not receive a scholarship will have the option to participate through self-funding.
Step 4: Payment of Registration Fee
Selected participants are required to pay the registration fee in two installments:
First installment: 40% of the total fee, due upon selection.
Second installment: 60% of the total fee, due 20 days prior to the trip.
This structured process ensures a fair selection based on merit and research potential while providing flexibility in payment arrangements.
Scholarship Opportunity
- Up to 100% scholarship available (conditions apply).
- Priority for scholarships will be given to experienced researchers with published works.
- Those not receiving scholarships can still join at their own expenses.

About Organizer

Bangladesh Research Society (BDRS)
The International Youth Research Camp is organized by the Bangladesh Research Society (BDRS), which began its activities in early 2018 to inspire students to engage in research.
BDRS is an interdisciplinary, youth- and student-friendly open knowledge-sharing community in Bangladesh, primarily focused on fostering, promoting, and creating opportunities for undergraduate researchers.
BDRS consists of graduate and undergraduate students, young researchers, and scholars from various fields across Bangladesh. The platform aims to establish, coordinate, and promote student research societies in universities and colleges nationwide. Currently, more than 30 research societies and clubs are actively collaborating under this organization, with all university research societies and college research clubs serving as lifetime members of BDRS.
In the long run, BDRS aims to build a global network for Bangladeshi students and young researchers, with the motto: “Research through a Collective Approach.”
